Job Purpose:


The main purpose of this position is to manage and be responsible for completing construction projects by determining and scheduling of different phases of a project based on established deadlines.

Negotiating contracts with architects, vendors, contractors and other workers. The securing of building permits and licenses and delivery of materials and equipment to construction sites.

Confer with supervisors or other managers to monitor construction progress, including worker productivity and compliance with building and safety codes.

Resolve problems that arise due to inclement weather, emergencies or other issues that may cause delays.


Accountability:

- to execute a given contract in accordance with the contract terms, within the approved budget and in accordance with the company policies.
- study the contract documents;
- prepare project cost control budget;
- planning of the project "execution and resources";
- execute the project as per contract condition within the time specified;
- to research special supplies and sub-contracts and make appropriate recommendations to the company management and procurement section.;
- to request consumables and services;
- to use the project resources in an economic cost and effective manner, to control outputs;
- prepare payment certificates;
- to liaise with the consultant/ client for claims and variations to the contract.
- coordinate between different sections;
- to liaise with third parties (organizations and departments) - monitor the work production;

  • Authorities:
  • to discipline personnel as may be required;
- to manage the implementation of sub-contracts;
- to secure services from the various departments of the company in their respective fields of competence *Interfaces: with other project managers, with company department heads;

  • Responsible for exercise due diligence towards health and safety of self & others in the organization.
  • Responsible to comply with the applicable health & safety procedures, instruction, requirements, laws, regulations from customers, regulatory and statutory bodies.
  • Responsible for reporting to his/her supervisors' occurrence's, events and acts that may affect health, safety and company reputation.
  • Performs any other related duties and responsibilities as required or, assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Engineering degree (Civil Engineering)
  • Experience: minimum of years
  • PMP Certification would be an added advantage
  • Must have UPDA "Grade A.

Pay:
QAR15, QAR17,000.00 per month
