I currently have a Master’s Degree in Commerce with a specialization in Management, a Bachelor's Degree in Education, a Trinity TESOL from Trinity College London, an International Diploma in Special Needs Education, an International Certificate in Education for Preschool Professionals, & a Certificate in Learning Disability. Currently pursuing Postgraduate Certificate in Education International (PGCEi) from Westford University in partnership with Canterbury Christ Church University -UK (Blended Learning). I would like the opportunity to use my skills to become a valued member of your institution. I held this position with many schools following the national and international curriculums in my home country India and internationally in Qatar, but I would like to enhance my career by working for a larger facility such as yours. I am qualified with a B. ED (two years Regular mode in class), International Diploma in Special Needs Education, Trinity TESOL from Trinity College London, and Diploma in Early Childhood and Education, and a Master's in Commerce with a specialization in Management & Business Studies. I truly believe inspiring and engaging children in a loving learning environment always help them to nurture their natural desire to learn and activate their potential.
I have taught core subjects English, Social Science, Qatar History, Value Education, and also foundation subjects following the CBSE, IGCSE, and ICSE curriculum to students ranging from Year 1 -6. During my time teaching I carried out different co-teaching strategies like one teach-one support model to keep an eye on all students. Parallel teaching for differentiation and Reciprocal teaching with clarifying, summarizing, questioning, etc. My role included planning engaging lessons, creating a positive learning environment, and effective classroom management. As part of this, I had to liaise with parents, teachers, and other faculty members, which required me to develop skills in verbal and written communication.
I believe that an outstanding lesson is one where children are well-behaved and focused throughout the lesson and are challenged well according to their individual abilities. Finally, I believe an outstanding lesson is one where students are given descriptive feedback and they understand and respond to that feedback to improve their work.
I have a flexible style of teaching that can cater to all students and abilities. For
example, in my last role, I managed to turn around an underperforming class and
at the end of the year, their examination pass rate was fifteen percent higher
than the school average. I overcame this by working diligently to establish an
engaging learning environment for students and preparing activities to promote
the importance of mental health.
In addition, I have successfully adopted an interactive teaching technique, which
has resulted in many positive student outcomes in terms of attitude and work
generated. A Key part of my career is assisting students in realizing their full
potential, which I work towards by identifying and meeting their individual needs.
I have also taught and personally worked with SEN children and slow learners by
planning differentiated targeted activities for their specific needs. I had planned
sensory, and motor skills and adopted a compensatory learning style, so by the
end of the year there was a significant improvement in their progress.
Aside from teaching I also put myself forward for extracurricular activities like
participating in events and voluntary activities. At this juncture, I was able to gain
skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and delegating tasks.
As my experience in a school setting demonstrates, I am passionate about
education and constantly endeavor to provide the best possible education for
children. I am capable of taking on learning responsibilities and have prior
classroom management expertise. I also have the enthusiasm and commitment to
make this role a success for me.
