Firstly, thank you so much for your time and kind consideration in attending to my job application.

I will start with introducing myself. I am Luigi Insogna, an Italian passport holder and married with 3 daughters. I am seasoned and experienced Project Planning and Control professional with almost 30 years of experience undertaking responsibilities as project controller/project completion coordinator / program coordinator in Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals and Power Generation industries.

Until recently, I spent 14 wonderful years with Qafco (Qatar Fertilizer Company) starting with being a crucial member of the Client Project Team as the Project Control and Mechanical Completion Coordinator in the execution of 1 Melamine Plant followed by the execution of Qafco 5 & 6 Project , involving the EPCC contract in the construction of 2 Ammonia and 2 Urea plants plus Utilities and dedicated Jetty.

Upon the successful completion of the Qafco 5 & 6 Project I was further given the responsibility to organise and put in place a project control system for QAFCO which would enable the scheduling, monitoring, reporting including analysis of a portfolio of projects consisting around 400 Projects valued at almost 400 Million Qatari Riyals (about 1.5 Billion US$).
With the system, we were finally able to monitor and report the status of the projects from the initial phase (proposal), pre-project phase (scope identification / duration and cost), execution phase (inclusive of detail engineering / procurement / construction / commission and start up) all the way to project close-out and account closure. .

We also succeeded to conduct overall Monthly reporting to all the stakeholders (Chiefs /Managers / Head of section) and report to the relevant Committees for any project delays or cost overruns for further guidance/actions/approvals by the Portfolio Management Committee.

Not limiting to the above, I was also heavily involved in the yearly preparation of the OPEX budget for the division and CAPEX budget for the mentioned portfolio of projects, whether there were still in proposal stage or on going.

I will not be able to achieve all the above without having good team members who were able to work well with each other. As an avid football fan, my motto towards successful projects or targets will always be: Talent Wins games , Teamwork wins Championship.
