MICHEL HARKOUS

I am an experienced nurse leader and educator who has worked at executive and national level and have a broad portfolio of skills. I have worked in the Canadian Healthcare system and the government sector in the Middle East gaining experience in building and maintaining effective working relationships with patients and across professional groups. I work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a culture of compassion and quality care. I have a strong background in chairing meetings, developing steering groups and governance structures as well as leading the preparation for and facilitation of inspection and quality assurance visits. 

I have experience in developing action plans, and ensuring learning from incidents is shared and responded to. I aim to ensure that care standards are reliably delivered through the effective deployment of leadership, people, and processes.  

I have experience in clinical practice development, education strategic plan development and implementation, and operational management. I am committed to ongoing professional development for myself and others and have experience working with education providers and professional regulators. I have a master’s degree in Nursing Education
