Technically accomplished professional with more than 26 years of rich experience in overall Proposal, Supervision of execution & Pre-Commissioning activities and Assistance for Commissioning including Testing & Inspection activities for Multidisciplinary EPIC and Turnaround Shutdown Projects & Field Maintenance Works in Oil & Gas sectors at Onshore / Offshore, down & upstream for green & brown fields which includes – Mechanical,   Civil, Electrical, & Instrumentation and Fire & Gas.

  • Monitoring closely EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation & Commissioning) and TA Shutdown Projects starting from Identifying the need of project which drives its initiation to develop Project Charter till completion of execution (project closeout and handover to Operations) passing through necessary decision Project initiation, Concept Selection & Final Investment Decision which refers to Detailed Design Engineering Via representing the project to DRB (Decision Review Board).
  • Participating actively in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and Design/Constructability Review joint sessions with Project Stakeholders and closure of outcome actions of the joint's sessions.
  • Conversant with fabrication, Erection and Maintenance of the module integration units (SKIDs), column, pressure vessels, Process Piping, heat exchangers, columns, silos, HRSG units, stacks, Pig Launchers / Receivers, U-Stamp Vessels, storage tanks, Calms.   
  • Pre-commissioning of Piping, Pipeline and Equipment; Assistance for commissioning and tests & inspections to ensure operational effectiveness of plant & utilities.
  • Overseeing a team of Engineers for various types of job and resolving bottlenecks; evaluating the technical & financial problems and reporting to the management.
  • Plan, organize, manage, lead, and control direct manpower and other resources in the execution while keeping the manpower productivity in consideration. Ensure capability management and performance of team.
  • Assess the training & development needs of subordinates and allocate projects keeping in mind the project requirements as well as the individual's capability and growth requirements. Provide guidance, personal coaching and mentoring as required.
  • Monitoring billing targets, cash flows & control of cost overruns.
  • Oversee the management of costs of all sub-contractors.
  • Ensure compliance of the project teams to systems with respect to timely & sequential dispatches of invoices and timely payments from customers.
  • Review project estimates to avoid cost overruns and recommend cost efficiency measures without compromising on quality.
  • Costing Reports, Monthly operational reports, budget cash flows, billing reports etc.
  • Timely execution of Projects - % Adherence to Schedule & contractual obligations.
  • Projects achieving targeted % i.e., Return on Investment (ROI).

  • Zero LTI (Lost-Time Injury) target and best QHSE practices.

  • Oversee all Engineering Preparation of Technical evaluation, Commercial Evaluation, Evaluation methodology, Sub-Contracting strategy, preparing tender documents, techno-commercial evaluation of sub-contractor, responsible for final recommendation to client, attending workshop with client, client approval etc.
  • Preparation of Estimation / Proposal, Scope identification and clarification, Induction to discipline for scope, Co-ordination with Disciplines for CTRs and submission of Proposals for CLIENT jobs.
  • Co-ordination with client for receipt of Purchase Order. Also, co-ordination with CLIENT PE for receipt of WBS Number in SAP and Drawing numbers/Tag Numbers and Project Code from CLIENT drawing office.
  • Co-ordination with Planning Engineers and SAP Administrator for Job entry and preparation of Baseline Schedule & Project Document Control Register.
  • Organizing Kick off Meetings, Preparation of Job Execution Plan, design Quality Assurance Plan and obtaining approvals from CLIENT / Client. Obtaining necessary Design inputs in co-ordination with Client PE on award of Contract.
  • Co-ordination with Disciplines Engineers for timely submission of Design Deliverables after Internal Discipline Checks. Co-ordination with CLIENT PE for getting approval of design deliverables.
  • Organizing and Participation in regular Project Progress Review Meetings.
  • Accountability for execution / delivering of tasks including hand over to operations and formal closeout within time framed.
  • Preparation of Construction Scope of Work and obtaining CLIENT approval. Preparation and Issue of Project Reports and Job Close out Report.
  • Submission of Bi-Weekly Progress Reports, Minutes of Meetings preparation and Close out Reports as per CLIENT standard. Regular update of Document Control Register and project schedule to meet the original baseline schedule.
  • Handling changes control procedure. Raising Standard Variances wherever required and obtaining approval from concerned CLIENT.
  • Preparing Monthly Service Entries / Invoice, co-ordination with SAP Administrator for Service Entry and getting technically and commercially approved by CLIENT. Follow up on receipt of payment against invoices/service entries. Project Cost and Time monitoring.
  • Establish and maintain good and effective communication with all project stakeholders including process engineering, discipline engineers, HSE staff, operations staff, Turn around Team, procurement team, and execution contractors.
  • Analyse contract commercially and legally & clarify open points.
  • Responsible for setting up a task force for the project by identifying the core team and establishing role clarity for each of the members.
  • Develop the Project Execution Strategies and Plans, including Management of interfaces and effective shutdown execution strategies for the assigned projects.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Interface Management Process and ensure efficient communication between external and internal stakeholders, troubleshoot, and resolve critical issues and concerns within project scheduled timeframe.
  • Liaise with Companies (Qatar Gas & QatarEnergy), 3rd party asset owners like Dolphin Energy, ORYX-GTL, Q-CHEM, Kahramaa, Ooredoo, RGPC, other EPCI Contractors, third party entities such as RLC, COMPANY Drilling & Completions, Ras Laffan Port and regulatory authorities such as Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC), Ministry of Transport and Communication (MOTC).
  • Develop Project Interface deliverables, and update and maintain relevant deliverables based on engineering maturity and progress on the project.
  • These deliverables shall include as a minimum the Interface Management Plan, Interface Register, Project Interface Items Management Plan, Interface Activities Action Tracker in a suitable database such as Project Lifecycle Management (PLM)
  • Responsible for ensuring timely evaluation, co-ordination, expediting and approval of Interface Queries (IQ) and Agreements (IA) as per relevant sections in the contract.
  • Shall be well versed with Project Interface Basis of Design, Project Engineering Interface Milestones & matrix, Interface Items Milestones & matrix, which are key documents in ascertaining scope split responsibilities between interfacing parties and their respective timelines. Well versed with the PMCS (Project Management Control Systems) Interface Management Module via which Interface Queries are being raised to other EPCI Contractors and 3rd Party Asset Owners via COMPANY.
  • Plan and organize the interface works and activities based on identified interfaces and priorities.
  • Issue roadmaps to communicate priorities and required deliverables to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attend Interface Weekly and Monthly meetings; attend Project Monthly Meetings with third party entities.
  • Ensure minutes of meetings are issued and steward close out of action including update of the Interfaces Registers and Databases.
  • Identify and report area of concerns or unresolved interfaces issues to the Project Interface Manager on a timely basis.
  • Provide notification of changes to an interface deliverable or activity and take steps to see that any revised deliverables are issued.
  • Notify the project management team of any non-performing or critical interfaces or any other interface issues that require their assistance to achieve resolution.
  • Comply with decisions and directions related to resolution of interface management issues and ensure actions/resolutions are implemented as agreed on the project.
  • Ensure appropriate knowledgeable personnel are invited to attend interface meetings to facilitate efficient resolution of interface issues.
  • Assist to incorporate key internal and external interface deliverables and activities into the project schedule.
  • Ensure that all agreed interface activities and deliverable dates align with the project execution schedule.
  • Contribute to meeting Project KPIs for Interface and issuance of Project Close-out reports.
  • Comply with QHSES requirements and metrics.
  • To develop various MSs (Method Statements and Lifting Plans) and construction Schedule in line with project requirement to cover relevant construction activities.
  • To develop specific MSs Method Statements for system and subsystem, MCC Packages, Pre-commissioning & Commission Dossiers, check lists as per scope of works in line with project requirement to cover relevant Pre-commissioning & Commission activities.
  • Closely coordination with engineering consultant for timely submission of the necessary deliverables to the CLIENT for their review & approval within agreed time framed.
  • Advice QA/QC and HSE department to develop necessary QA/QC and HSE deliverables for CLIENT for their review and approval in line with the contract requirement.
  • Engaged with QA/QC department for inspection of project based on approved ITP (Inspection and Testing Plan).
  • Review of Materials take off and comparison actual BOQ Vs tendered BOQ.
  • Review, and approval of Procurement, sub-Vendor / Supplier quotations.
  • Review and approval of sub vendors PO with technical specs, Quantity etc. and monitor & tracking the delivery of items ordered with our purchaser.
  • Coordinating with our commercial officer for preparation of LC for Long lead items. Documentation with Bank personnel and customs clearance from the port.
  • Monitoring timely delivery of long lead items and follow up with the suppliers / Vendors to avoid any delay.
  • Monitoring Schedule on daily basis against site progress and attend the schedule meetings with clients/customers.
  • Monitoring the work progresses as per the approved schedule; organize meeting with Project Teams and solve the various problems whenever arises.
  • To ensure Quality and HSE Systems are followed in accordance with projects specifications.
  • Get approval from customer for any deviation / variation that arise at site.
  • Deployment of Vendors as per CLIENT vender list. Pre-qualification of Vendors / sub vendors in line with the client's requirement.
  • Monitoring & review daily site / construction activities, deployment of work force, material, equipment machineries etc. 
  • Develop, share, and incorporate lessons learnt throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Participated in punch listing with client and end user during MCC, Pre-commissioning, Commission & Handing over.

  • Optimize output against targets by developing ongoing scheduling programs and production plans.
  • Assignment of priorities to department heads
  • Interface with supply chain and production to ensure all required materials are ordered and on schedule.
  • Responsible to ensure production targets meet or exceed targets.
  • Daily and Monthly Reporting to CEO and Operations Manager with regards to: Quotations / Tenders, Acceptance / Non-Acceptance of Quotations / Tenders as well as Job Status.
  • Liaise with Customers (i.e., QE, QG, QAFCO, QAPCO, Q-CHEM, QAFAC, Dolphin energy, Qatar Steel, ORYX GTL)
  • Involved with Imports and Planning of Importation of Raw Materials, Tools and Consumables
