- I am a grade "A" Senior Architect: I have more than 18 years of experience in the field of construction and architecture amplified by formal education and distinguished by specialized training.

 I have worked for 13 years as a Technical Engineering  manager in SEG Qatar on various big scale projects: VB02 residential tower (Pearl Qatar), Navigation tower (Dafna), Doha Bank headquarter (Cornice), Mondrian 5 stars Hotel (Hotel, Lagoon area),  and on Darwish Tower (West Bay).For the past 2 years I am working as a  Design/ Technical  manager with IMAR Qatar on Fairmont hotel (Crescent tower @ Lusail marina)

 

    Previously, I have worked in the design field for 4 years on various projects: residential, commercial, and schools.

Project Design manager at IMAR- Qatar (IMAR Trading & Contracting)

Aug 2020 Till Present date

 Design manager for Fairmont 6* Hotel – Katara Twin Hotel Project – Fairmont Hotel - Cresent tower at Lusail Marina- 

My task covers:

  • Manages multiple projects through interaction with Architects, consultants and sub-contractors.
  • Leading a design team of design coordinators and architects.
  • Monitors design progress, identify areas of concern, making sure planned design schedules are met.
  • Identify areas of concern checking if design complies with the government standards and regulations preparing relevant RFIs and letters.
  • Review design change and highlight as necessary assisting in the preparation of Variation orders and claims where applicable
  • Ensures that all steps within the project are documented and meeting with Quality Control Standards.
  • Monitor the preparation of shop drawings making sure that deadlines are met and that submissions as per quality standards.
  • Initiate and monitor the coordination amongst the different Engineering trades advising about action plans and mitigation routes.
  • Monitor and review sub-contractors’ submittals: materials, method statements, shop drawings, progress reports, execution plans, etc… Propose alternate solutions without compromising the project change management protocols and quality.
  • Follow up with the construction team to solve all technical problems that may arise during construction.
  • Assist in preparation of mockups to show its aspect and resolving interface details between various finishes.
  • Follow up with the consultant for shop drawings submittals and approvals.
  • Conduct regular coordination and follow up meetings with the Client representative, Supervision consultant as well as sub-contractors

Technical manager handling various projects simultaneously. My task covers:

  • Studying the project’s construction drawings and specifications 
  • Managing a team to prepare all material submittals and shop drawings as per Tender drawings and Specs in  
  • compliance with the project’ s budget
  • Coordinating procurement of Long Lead Items.
  • Participating in solving site problems by creating appropriate architectural details
  • Assuring full coordination between various trades (Structural, Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical)
  • Implementing the Project Specifications per the Conditions of the Contract and the International Standards
  • Following up on the Schedule of works 
  • Managing different Sub-Contracting and Supplier for the proper implementation.
  • Coordination between subcontractors through technical meetings
  • Preparing all materials packages for pricing. Making technical and commercial comparisons. 
  • Coordinating with selected suppliers and subcontractors to prepare and submit the architectural material.
  • Checking compliance of materials with spec, drawings and local authorities’ codes.
  • Handling the final phases of the Contract including as built drawings, operation manuals, and warranties
