Responsibilities: 

• In collaboration with the Owner’s Engineer and the Construction Directors, supervise the EPC contractor and ensure the project is safely implemented as per EPC contract and PPA, on cost and on time.
• Review and comment engineering documentation to ensure the submittals comply to the applicable standards of design and construction (Design Philosophy, CAD drawings, Technical Specifications, Method of statements, O&M Manuals etc).
• Work together with the HSE Officer and inspectors to ensure and promote safe works and the higher H&S standards.
• Validate factory inspection program, review inspection reports, and attend FAT (in factory/ remote) on critical components.
• Review, conduct due diligence and provide feedback to OE and senior management on prequalification submittals for potential sub-contractors. 
• Schedule and conduct meetings with the EPC and their sub-contractors to ensure smooth work progress.
• Upon identification on critical issues, provide prompt input to senior management with the support of techno-commercial  situational analysis. 
• Prepare construction reports and KPIs
• Attend work inspections and material inspections together with Owner’s Engineer. 
• Review and optimize project schedule. Micro-manage critical activities until optimized.
• Monitor day-to-day progress of works including deliverables and progress reports. 
• Together with the EPC, follow up on critical tasks in construction with sub-contractors. Propose solutions complying to international standards, contractual specifications, and prudent engineering practices.
• Ensure thorough surveillance at site to identify non-conformities. 
• Identify technical challenges and support the EPC contractor by providing prompt solutions from within the contractual limitations.  
• Review and validate Contractors’ payment requests and invoices. 
• Prepare construction & commissioning reports.
• Ensure erection and commissioning proceeds in accordance with project base line and fulfilling technical requirements, codes, and standards. 
• Validate cold + hot commissioning programs, mitigate risks and non-conformities. 
• Ensure surveillance and witness points as per approved ITP. Attend tests and review reports on various testing activities such as LV & MV of MV TS, Insulation resistance (VLF and Megger), String RISO and IV Curve, Inverter start up and sync tests, Tracker rotation test, plant performance test etc. 
• Ensure surveillance and witness points as per approved ITP through the scope of hot commissioning, Post commissioning tests and ensure smooth transfer of the power plant from the contractor to the owner. 

Siraj Energy: 

• Review and approve FEED documents from the contractor on solar projects according to various international standards and project specifications. 
• Establish project, quality and HSE controls.
• Site monitoring, carry out material and work inspections.  
• Attend the activity, review, and approve commissioning documents.
• Verify progressive payment requests from the contractor.
• Provide techno commercial feasibility information to the senior management.

Responsibilities:-

Site Works:

• Overall responsibility for site meetings, site coordination, workforce management and construction adhering to standards, design, and project plan.
• Day to day monitoring of progress, provide prompt solutions for challenges arising from construction.
• Conduct Pre-commissioning, Testing and Commissioning activities of all projects.

Project Management:

• Based on established construction plan, ensure timely progress to achieve the milestones.
• Preparation of FEED documents and obtain approval from relevant authorities.
• Quantity surveying and preparation of BOQs for procurement, supervision of procurement and delivery.
• Cost Management for on-going projects and preparation of budgets for upcoming projects.
• Conducting and coordinating work progress meetings to communicate hindrances, snags, non- conformities etc.
• Assure right workforce and management of workforce.
• Preparation of Gantt Charts, scheduling works at site.
• Assisting the CAD engineer to develop engineering drawings and review for corrections.
• Coordination and follow ups with the finance team for timely invoicing and help the organization to manage cash flows. 
• Preparation of work , testing and commissioning inspection requests and ensure the inspections are carried out on time by coordinating among the stakeholders.
• Ensure smooth hand over process of the commissioned plant to the client / end user by timely delivery of documents and training.

O&M

• Preparation of maintenance schedules and activity checklist. Review of the reports produced by technicians.
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is done on time. 
• Conduct training for hired cleaning and maintenance crew.
• Preparation and submission of maintenance and performance reports.

Key Achievements:

• Involved in EPC + O&M of 6+ MWp Solar Plants, 12 Solar Thermal Plants with total 366 Kilolitres DHW storage, 30 kW Wind Turbines and 100 + Solar Street Lights, 1 smart flower ( solar flower) and installed automated solar robotic cleaning system.
• Took part as the coordinator for tender participation team for various tenders with combined size 40 + MWp.
• Being the senior engineer on board responsible for assuring Quality Management, helped the organization to renew its ISO certifications to, 9001:2015, 14001-2015, OHSAS 45001-2018.

Key Responsibilities: -

• Understand techno commercial aspects of tenders from all major Oil and Gas companies in Qatar.
• Floating RFQs to source and quote materials in tenders where materials are valves, pipes and fittings
• Preparation of costing sheet according to the incoterm required by client
• Preparation of techno commercial offers
• Identifying and including new principles and suppliers to the company profile. Prequalifying suppliers according to the clients’ project requirements.
• Coordination and safe delivery of piping equipment to the site and ensure smooth hand over process.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Procurement, materials, and contracts management of project orders. Design, supply, erection, test and commission of spools, retrofits, and valves with actuators.
• Being a team player with sales managers, execute project supply orders smoothly strictly adhering to the organization policy and sales order budgets.
• Preparation and monitoring of purchase orders to various vendors
• Guiding the works through a prepared schedule and arranging delivery according to client’s needs.
• Work with logistics and admin teams to ensure cost effective and time-based execution of orders.

Achievements and contribution

• Administered contracts for fabrication of spools and valve retrofits, and cement lining / specialized pipe coating jobs for major petroleum and petrochemical projects within Qatar for clients like QAPCO, RASGAS, QATARGAS, QAFCO and Qatar Petroleum.
• Could contribute engineering skills for trouble shooting and designing solutions for retrofits and spools

Key Achievements:

• Was the project engineer and later a part time consultant from investor’s side for a 10MW wind energy project– Grid connected (CPP) and IPP.
• Lead a Maintenance team of 18 technicians and managed the departmental activities. Ensured prompt preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of 11 KV substation, water pumping stations, Sewage treatment plants, Water treatment plants and HVAC plants.
• Through energy audits and corrective actions, managed to cut down 8.3 % on energy bills
