I am currently working as Senior Manager – AML/CDD Compliance Advisory in UBL (United Bank Limited) and have spent a significant span of career in Standard Chartered Bank. With strong experience (15 +years) in an international bank with 1300+ branches including overseas branches, I feel confident of my ability to significantly benefit your functional domain as well. These days I am onsite in Qatar for an International KYC remediation project which will continue for 6 months. In the past I have also worked in the UAE for such compliance consultancy assignments.

My work experience includes the following areas. Compliance risk event management, risk reporting , KRIs development and monitoring, maintaining database of risk issues and target dates, development of bank wide framework on Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Preparation of , terms of reference, management MI and (standardized) presentation deck for risk committees. Over the years I have worked for multiple business streams i.e. Retail Banking & Private Banking and their corresponding risk and compliance. 

SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS & EXPERTISE

• Provide advice and analysis in relation to the businesses, including product design, new business initiatives, bespoke projects, and transactional advice on Sanctions & PEPs.
• Establishment of Compliance Risk Management Framework and a program for assuring compliance that supports the transition to pre-emptive compliance and conduct risk mitigation. Preparation of Compliance Risk Matrix which provides a snap shot of business lines in terms of key Conduct & Compliance Risk Metrics.
• Manage effective relationship with all relevant country regulators and contributed in maintenance and enhancement of regulator relationship plan.
• Providing input to Head- Compliance in preparation of annual compliance plan, and reviewing business objectives and compliance indicators. 
• Engagement with the key stakeholders on key projects, system initiatives and to seek extensions on regulatory directives in case of bank`s strategic & operational challenges. Contact point for new Outsourcing Initiatives.
