Reporting to the Director of Human Resources supported the department to establish the HR strategy, processes and procedures in alignment with Hilton practices and local laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the HR daily operation by managing & supervising eight team members when it comes to on boarding, recruitment, exist & clearance process, payroll & leave management, maintaining HR systems up to date & other HR administration matters.
  • Leading the employee relations to build an engaging team and the government relations team to coordinate with local authorities for legal & compliance.

Key Achievements

  • Filled 25 % of the recruitment workforce during pre-opening phase.
  • Managed the Heart of House project from planning phase to execution & installation phase which improved employee experience about the brand.

Jul 2018 – Sep 2020                   Hilton Beirut Downtown – Lebanon, Beirut

                                                                Assistant Human Resources Manager, Pre-opening 

Reporting to the General Manager, contributed to building the HR systems & strategies, practices, policies & procedures that are efficient to run the hotel and support the business objectives

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting up the HR department during the pre-opening phase and leading the HR operation post opening.
  • Managing directly junior HR team to ensure the smooth running of all HR functions and providing overall leadership & guidance on talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, compensation & benefits.

Key Achievements

  • Planned & organized a Career Open Day that contributed in filling 80% of the pre-opening work force budget.
  • Facilitated the set up & implementation of the HR System Oasys to go live and be in place.

Dec 2017 till Jun 2018          Radisson Blu Hotel, Beirut Verdun – Lebanon, Beirut 

                                                  Assistant Human Resources Manager & Responsible Business Coordinator

Reporting to the General Manager, supported organizational change to implement the new culture of Radisson Hotel Group after de-flagging of Intercontinental Hotel Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with corporate Human Resources guidelines, rules and regulations of the new company as well as labor law.
  • Maintaining a proper implementation and monitoring of the RB Action Plan, including allocation of human & financial resources.

Key Achievements

  • Achieved the Responsible Business Trainer certification and delivered “Living & Leading Responsible Business” training sessions to all hotel staff.
  • Planned & organized several initiatives related to community, environment & youth which contributed to increase employee value proposition & brand awareness by making a positive change.

Mar 2015 till Apr 2017                 Holiday Inn, Beirut Dunes – Lebanon, Beirut

                                                          Assistant Human Resources Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, planned and implemented several initiatives that fostered employee engagement, talent acquisition and retention in addition to organizational development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing a solid HR strategy and ensuring operational leaders are maintaining their responsibilities in line with the Strategy, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, HR Analytics and Employee Relations.
  • Bridging management and employee relations by managing all aspects of employee relations which include conducting incident investigations, taking disciplinary actions and handling grievances.

Key Achievements

  • Re-organized the recruitment strategy by conducting recruitment in house, collaborating with universities and educational institutions and attending job fairs to attract qualified candidates and talents which resulted in significant cost- saving.
  • Cultivated a staff welfare culture by planning staff gatherings, outings, events and social activities that reflected positively on Employee Engagement survey where results achieved were above targets. 

Feb 2014 till Mar 2015              Golden Tulip Lili's Resort & Spa – Lebanon, Aley 

                                                       Human Resources Coordinator, Pre-opening team

Reporting to the Operations Manager, built sustainable Human Resources structure, systems, processes, and practices by championing HR functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting up the department from scratch in terms of building HR systems and developing the hotel’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining and updating staff files through implementing a computerized tracking system.

Key Achievements

  • Identified and developed talents for pre – opening hotel operation of all departments.
  • Designed all job descriptions according to job – related positions and company standard & developed employee handbook as part of employee on boarding thus setting employee and company expectations.
