- Expert knowledge of Python, VBA,SQL, and ideally Javascript and web appdevelopment
- Expertise in building andimplementing large structureddatabases
- Extensive knowledge and experience inthe implementation and use of visualisation and reporting tools andmodels, ideally within a front office commodities tradingenvironment
- Extensive experience developingfront office trading tools and models using a variety oftechnologies and techniques
- Knowledge ofETL/ETLS and Data Warehousing concepts andtechnologies
- Ability to implement solutionsusing Agile methods, including prototyping and tactical solutionsto meet the short-term and dynamic needs of thebusiness
- Ideally, ability to build andimplement data retrieval APIs
- Excellentstakeholder management skills, at a variety of organisationallevels. Ability to manage vendors and if required negotiate andmanage vendor contracts (e.g .data providers, softwarelicencing)
- Excellent written and verbalcommunications skills
- Ideally a tradingbackground and understanding of the commodities trading business.Knowledge and experience dealing with LNG/G&P data typesand data sources
- Self-reliance andself-sufficiency; willingness to help build a business from theground upwards in a phased manner but with quick short-termsolutions essential for success. Strong delivery focus iscritical.
