Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and maintain financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analyses. Present these reports to management and stakeholders as needed.
- Prepare and consolidate daily revenue reports for the hotel
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Collaborate with department heads to create and monitor budgets, ensuring adherence to financial goals. Assist in forecasting financial performance to aid in strategic planning.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, including processing invoices, tracking payments, and managing outstanding balances.
General Ledger Management:
Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions. Reconcile accounts regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Present findings to management to support decision-making.
Tax Compliance:
Stay up-to-date with tax regulations and ensure timely and accurate tax filings. Collaborate with external tax advisors when necessary.
Inventory Control:
Assist in inventory management and reconciliation to maintain accurate records of stock and costs.
Audit Support:
Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Financial Controls:
Establish and maintain financial controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Process Improvement:
Continuously review accounting processes and systems, identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Detailoriented and able to handle complex financial data accurately.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Prior experience in hospitalityspecific accounting software is a plus.
