Northwestern Qatar (NU-Q) is seeking an Administrative Assistant for Executive Education.

This position will support the implementation of executive education courses and will assist in the planning and logístical support of program activities and events, as well as others.

This position reports to the Director of the Executive Education Program.


Responsibilities:


  • Provides logístical support in the organization of the events and other activities related to these programs
  • Provides general administrative assistance and support for the offering of executive education programs.
  • Other administrative support tasks as assigned

required knowledge, skills, and abilities:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • 2 Years work experience in an administrative setting
  • Strong computer and communication skills, especially with word processing and spreadsheets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, efficiency and professionalism
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while setting and achieving deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in higher education
  • Familiarity with Qatar and the Middle East

Preferred competencies:


  • Demonstrated initiative and decisionmaking skills
  • Extensive knowledge of Doha, US and Qatari culture
  • Fluency in the Arabic language preferred
