Department
HSE (MIC)


Primary purpose of job
Plan and direct the establishment and implementation of a competent fire & rescue emergency response. Develop

operational strategies for all areas under the jurisdiction of the designated city, in accordance with National and

International standards.

Conduct effective fire risk management programmes to identify the various hazards and take the necessary measures to

ensure the fire department response meets the current and future needs to manage those identified risks.

Ensure that relevant personnel have the requisite competencies and continuously develop and upgrade in line with any

change in the business environment.


Experience & Skills:


  • Preferably a minimum 15 years experience in Fire fighting, with 10 years experience at management level preferably in
the oil, gas or petrochemical industry.

  • Leadership, management, problem solving, decision making, interpersonal skills, negotiation and organisational influence
skills.


Education:


  • Degree in a technical discipline from an internationally recognised institution
  • Graduate of The Institution of Fire Engineers or equivalent
