    CarnegieMellon Universitys department of Operations is searching for aFinancial Analyst to join their team. This is an excitingopportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting andchallenging work environment. You will contribute to the departmentby providing financial analysis and reporting managing budget andforecast planning and facilitating effective collaboration acrossteams and projects. Core responsibilitiesinclude:
    • Routinely analyzefinancial data and provide interpretive results developing reportsfor senior management.
    • Maintain and enhancebudget models perform forecasting and scenario analysis as part ofthe universitys overall budget process.
    • Serveas a key planning liaison between different campus and universityteams ensuring effective communication andcollaboration.
    • Proactively support annualindependent audit functions and manage auditrelatedprocesses.
    • Lead the creation and maintenanceof financial process documentation identifying opportunities forprocess optimization.

    • Ability to effectively manage andcoordinate information flow to and from auditors respondingpromptly to queries during fieldwork.
    • Strongskills in financial analysis and reporting techniques with anemphasis on accuracy and detail.
    • Capability toimprove key forecast planning contributing significantly to themanagement and reporting of theseprocesses.

Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in BusinessAdministration Finance Accounting or a related field. Years ofExperience: 12 years of experience in financial analysis or arelated field. Candidates with relevant internships in finance oraccounting may also be considered.
    • Specific Skills andExperience:
    • Strong verbaland written communication skills with a demonstrated ability topresent data and analysis in a clear and persuasivemanner.
    • Exceptional analytical skills withproficiency in software tools such as Oracle EPM and MicrosoftExcel.
    • A combination of education andexperience from which comparable knowledge and skills can beacquired may also beconsidered.
