JOB SUMMARY:
The Operation Manager is responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects under our Oil & Gas division from ideation through to completion.
By handling multiple semi-governmental projects simultaneously, this senior role demands continuous interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, driving different project managers and their teams for project completion as per the schedule and closely monitoring resource optimization, costing & revenue growth.
Formulating overall strategy, managing people, and establishing policies, this role aims to increase organizational effectiveness by establishing a highly motivational work environment and implementing innovative changes in line with the Company's vision.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daytoday site operations related to semigovernment projects specifically related to oil & gas, assign performance goals to each project team, and ensure their completion on time.
- Timely interaction with the clients, meetings, and resolving site issues.
- Participating in the tender process i.e. design, submission, team guidance, and its review.
- Designing risk mitigation plans projectspecific.
- Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans projectwise to optimize expenses.
- Delegate responsibilities projectspecific and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and cultural values.
- Ensuring all legal formalities & documentation related to the projects are intact.
- Design strategies and set goals for business growth & enhancing revenues thereby.
- Analyze project performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure project success.
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally by driving the assessment process.
- Adhere to company standards for excellence and quality
- Analyzing accounting and financial data.
- Prepare and submission of relevant reports/presentations to the management on a timely basis.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
- Proven success as a manager in handling multiple projects related to the oil & gas industry and knowledge of different business functions.
- Strong working knowledge of oil & gas/shutdown projects & their entire operational procedures.
- Should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decisionmaker, helping the project teams to develop and be productive while ensuring the profits are on the rise.
- Expert communicator who has a strong ability to delegate responsibility and collaborate across multiple teams and departments.
- Proven ability to develop and achieve financial plans
- Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas
- Outstanding organizational, leadership skills & problemsolving aptitude
- Strong work ethic & interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and lead employees, and hold them accountable
- Proven track record of successfully managing largescale projects within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards
- Proven experience of a minimum of 7 years in a managerial role handling multiple projects with the Oil & Gas industry.
- Post Graduate (or equivalent) in Business Management or related field.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
- Experience working with semigovernmental organisations or in a similar regulatory environment is advantageous.
Salary:
QAR15, QAR25,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
