Qatargas Job Purpose:

• Provide professionalmedical care for employees and their dependents, referring patientsfor further treatment, specialist consultation or hospitalizationas medically necessary. Job Context & Major Challenge(s):
• The role requires to (1) handles sensitive issues associated withhealth care needs and possibly disputes; (2) promote confidence andtrust in the standard of medical care available in a range ofcircumstances including emergencies; (3) requirement to keep up todate with all medical changes and actively participate in all forthe health promotion programs; (4) participate in regular internal,government and other external audits.

Key Job Accountabilities

I:

Conduct physical examinations and routine clinical examinations,making appropriate investigations, interpreting results and makingdiagnoses. Provide emergency cover at all times.

Provide advice,internal and external referrals to consultants and second opinionsto doctor(s) as required and approves all referrals to hospitals.

Verifies and checks all hospital specialist referral done byhim/her and update the senior doctor regarding them. Issueprescriptions for drugs required to deal with problems of patients.

• Conduct routine pre placement medical examination of newemployees with the assistance of the Nurse to measure elementarymedical parameters.

Investigates medical history and conductssystemic examinations and laboratory tests to ensure the fitness ofemployees for duty.

• Establish good working relationships withlocal hospitals in Doha and follow up progress of admitted patientsthrough regular visitation programs and consultation with theattending physician/surgeon.
• Implement and supervise the deliveryof preventative medicine programs and formulating preventativemedicine and health promotion programs under supervision of thesenior medical doctor.

Key Job Accountabilities

• II:
• Provideadvice to medical management on preventing or minimizing medicalhazards in the work and home environments.
• Ensure the preparationof the daily, weekly, monthly and annual medical reports onpatients referred, treated or hospitalized, including monthlyreports to the Ministry of Health on cases involving infectiousdiseases.
• Contribute to the clinic, by ensuring it has adequatesupply of medicines, dressings, instruments and that equipment ismaintained to high standards and immediately inform the seniormedical doctor of any shortage or breakdown.
• Provide approval forthe Medical Claims submitted by Company employees.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medicine

Knowledge and/orExperience:

• 5 years' experience in Family / Internalmedicine in a Primary Care set up
