As a Telecom Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the telecommunications operations within the organization. You will lead a team of telecommunications technicians and specialists, ensuring the efficient and reliable functioning of communication systems. Your role will involve a combination of technical expertise, leadership, and coordination to maintain high-quality communication services.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of telecommunications technicians and specialists.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Coordinate work schedules, assignments, and resources to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment, including phones, routers, switches, and other related devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to network connectivity, equipment malfunctions, and service disruptions.
  • Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and management of communication systems, such as VoIP, PBX, and data networks.
  • Ensure the organization's communication infrastructure meets industry standards for performance, security, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with telecom service providers and equipment vendors to procure necessary hardware, software, and services.
  • Negotiate contracts, service level agreements, and pricing to optimize telecomrelated expenses.
  • Monitor the quality of voice and data transmissions, ensuring optimal clarity and signal strength.
  • Implement quality control measures and conduct regular audits to identify and address issues proactively.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, network configurations, and maintenance activities.
  • Generate regular reports on network performance, incidents, and improvements.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for communication outages or disasters.
  • Lead the team in troubleshooting and restoring services during critical incidents.
  • Provide training to team members on new technologies, protocols, and best practices in the telecommunications field.
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends and advancements to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and data protection policies.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard communication networks from potential threats.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing and leading a telecommunications team.
  • Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications systems, including VoIP, PBX, data networks, and associated hardware.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues and implementing solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and external vendors.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
  • As a Telecom Supervisor you will play a crucial role in ensuring effective communication services for the organization, contributing to its operational efficiency and success.

Salary:
From QAR1.00 per month
