Pain management physicians also called pain specialists, diagnose and treat patients with pain, such as acute, chronic, or cancer pain.

Physicians from various specialties, such as neurology, rheumatology, psychiatry, or orthopedics can work as pain management physicians. These professionals treat patients in various ways, including prescribing medicine and employing interventional techniques such as injections or implants.

Responsibilities:


  • Assessing patients and inquiring about their medical history.
  • Diagnosing possible causes of pain.
  • Ordering lab work or diagnostic tests like CT scans or MRIs.
  • Developing individualized care plans that include medication and rehabilitative services.
  • Educating patients with regard to pain management and lifestyle changes.

Requirements / Qualifications:


  • A valid state license and malpractice insurance.
  • Strong detailoriented ability.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of multiple languages will be an advantage.
  • Ability to make quick decisions in a highly stressful environment.

Salary:


  • QAR 75,000 to 110,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
  • Additional benefits: Annual air tickets Family medical insurance.
