Company QatarEnergy is a state-owned publiccorporation established byEmiri Decree No. 10 in 1974. It isresponsible for all phases of the oiland gas industry in the Stateof Qatar.

The principal activities of QatarEnergy, its subsidiariesand jointventures are the exploration, production, local andinternational saleof crude oil,natural gas and gas liquids, refinedproducts, syntheticfuels,petrochemicals, fuel additives,fertilizers, liquefied natural gas(LNG), steel and aluminium.

QatarEnergy's strategy of conducting hydrocarbon explorationanddevelopment is through Exploration and Production SharingAgreements(EPSA) and Development and Production Sharing Agreements(DPSA)concluded with major international oil and gas companies.

Theoperations and activities of QatarEnergy and its affiliatesareconducted atvarious onshore locations, including Doha, Dukhanand the Mesaieed andRas Laffan Industrial Cities, as well asoffshore areas, including HalulIsland, offshore production stationsdrilling platforms and the NorthField.
