Senior Business Development Manager

Role Summary:
  • The Senior Sales and BD Manager will be responsible to provide leadership for all aspects of the sales and BD within Manweir. Lead a Sales team through strategic sales initiatives, perform analysis, identify gaps and core strengths of the company and on the basis hereof prepare tender pursuit strategies. Ensure the strategy is implemented and adhered to.?Identify areas for future opportunities and ensure the team are aligned to these opportunities.Job Scope:
  • ?Reports to directly General Manager.
  • ?Must have good communication skills and provide a good professional image with the ability to perform outside sales duties.
  • ?Lead, mentor and guide a small sales team to increase overall orders through various business verticals.
  • ?Experience with various selling techniques such as Challenger sales, Conceptual Selling, ?ect.
  • ?Visit exiting customers to maintain and develop the company?s business.
  • ?Assist in the preparation of sales forecast and budgeting.
  • ?Candidate will be responsible for mapping the market and understanding the market potential in this area along with any competition.
  • ?Experience in business growth in major upstream and downstream Energy markets.
  • ?Operational experience Manufacturing, Repair, refurbishment of Rotating, Non rotating mechanical equipment for the above mentioned energy sectors.
  • ?Proficient in API/ISO industry quality standards.
  • ?Well versed in OCTG premium threading requirements.
  • ?Contacting existing customers also prospecting and obtaining new customers.
  • ?Thinking outside the box to gain additional business in new areas or in an expanded marketplace.
  • ?Perform HSE related task as outlines in the company?s HSE objectives.
  • ?Accept any reasonable assignment as requested by the General Manager.
  • ?Duties include target pricing, quotation preparation and follow-up.
  • ?Must be computer proficient and have good organization & presentational skills.
  • ?Must be an eager and proven self-starter.
  • ?Full awareness of P&L components and costing.
  • ?Proficient in the use of a recognised CRM tool. Such as Saleforce.
  • ?Experience using SAP ERP system.
  • ?Comply with OH&S regulations and policies.
  • ?Overall directives solve problems & provide expert advice, and supplying resources for people to get work done in order for department to meet objectives.
