    • Develops marketing strategy bystudying economic indicators; tracking changes in supply anddemand; identifying customers and their current and future needs;and monitoring the competition.
    • Contributes to marketingeffectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues thatmust be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinentto deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; andimplementing directives.
    • Obtains market share bydeveloping marketing plans and programs for each product anddirecting promotional support.
    • Maintains relations withcustomers by organizing and developing specific customer-relationsprograms and determining company presence at conventions, annualmeetings, trade associations, and seminars.
    • Providesshort- and long-term market forecasts and reports by directingmarket research collection, analysis, and interpretation of marketdata.
    • Influences present and future products bydetermining and evaluating current and future market trends.
    • Develops new uses for existing products by analyzingstatistics regarding market development; acquiring and analyzingdata; and consulting with internal and external sources.
    • Maintains research database by identifying and assembling marketinginformation.
    • Provides marketing information by answeringquestions and requests.
    • Achieves financial objectives bypreparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzingvariances, and initiating correctiveactions.
