Job Overview:

Responsible for the document management function of the project. Issue project deliverables. Answers queries raised by disciplines, client and vendors. Attend meeting with clients, vendors and PMT. Participate in internal and external audits.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • Setup Document Control System on projects.
  • Prepares Level III project specific document control procedure in line with contractual requirements and obtain approval from Clients.
  • Prepare project specific document distribution matrix in line with project requirements and obtain approval from engineering manager.
  • Plan operational and document storage space on projects.
  • Setup filing system based on project requirements.
  • Maintain up to date document register of documents and drawings.
  • Issue documents and drawings and update the Electronic Database Management System that covers Engineering, Fabrication, Procurement and Vendor deliverables.
  • Develop and issue document control status reports.
  • Attend weekly engineering meeting with clients and PMT.
  • Attend vendor data meetings with engineering and PMT.
  • Answer vendor data queries related to project requirements.
  • Ensure data integrity and protection on projects.
  • Train document control staff on document control system operation.
  • Perform internal audits on projects.
  • Coordinate Final Documentation Requirements with PMT and Client.
  • Coordinate storage and archiving of project records.

Essential Qualifications and Education:


  • Bachelor's Degree or Graduate
  • 6 to 8 years work experience as a Lead Document Controller on EPIC projects and thorough knowledge and understanding of document control systems.

Preferred Qualifications and Education:


  • M/S Office Packages and exposure to Engineering Systems. Proven work experience in Document Management System.
