QatarEnergy is a state-owned public corporation established by Emiri Decree No. 10 in 1974. It is responsible for all phases

of the oil and gas industry in the State of Qatar.
The principal activities of QatarEnergy, its subsidiaries and joint ventures

are the exploration, production, local and international sale of crude oil,natural gas and gas liquids, refined products,

syntheticfuels,petrochemicals, fuel additives, fertilizers, liquefied natural gas(LNG), steel and aluminium.
Qatar Energy's

strategy of conducting hydrocarbon exploration and development is through Exploration and Production Sharing

Agreements(EPSA) and Development and Production Sharing Agreements (DPSA)concluded with major international oil

and gas companies.
The operations and activities of QatarEnergy and its affiliates are conducted at various onshore

locations, including Doha, Dukhan and the Mesaieed andRas Laffan Industrial Cities, as well as offshore areas, including

Halul Island, offshore production stations, drilling platforms and the NorthField.

Department
INTERNATIONAL UPSTREAM & EXPLORATION


Experience & Skills:


  • Upstream engineer with 10+ years experience as reservoir engineer in exploration/appraisal and development in
international oil companies

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, projects and ventures
  • A keen subsurface engineer who enjoys working within a close team of professionals to mature exploration projects and
provide clear recommendations for the company and JV

  • Specific technical competencies required:
  • Interdisciplinary integration of field and well data
  • Production forecasting driven by well, reservoir and facilities constraints
  • Dynamic reservoir simulation and uncertainty modelling
  • Experience in economics an advantage
  • Must be able to work in a nonoperated capacity demonstrating communication skills fundamental to preserving credibility
and influencing QatarEnergy 's operating JV partners

  • Should be abreast of the latest technological advancements in the industry
  • An ability to enthuse the team and to mentor younger staff as well as to reach across different disciplines

Education:


  • M.Sc. in a core subsurface engineering discipline as a minimum
