Durham School for Girls Doha is seeking to appoint flexible and inspirational Head if Arabic to join our High Performance learning team school for August 2023and be part of the School Leadership team.

Durham is a sister school to Durham School UK and part of Durham International.

Within the school we are aiming to build and grow our learning provision for the girls. This is a key role to build upon the work done by our previous Head of Arabic. The school is committed to giving opportunities to our girls to access learning in different ways.

Arabic, Islamic Studies and Qatari History are Mandatory Subjects be the MOE Qatar.

We want a leader to drive innovative learning, a love of the girls native language and promote passion and understanding of the culture, values and religion.

Durham is a fully accredited BSO and QNSA school and the first All Female International HPL World Class School. We are a British School serving both the local and International community. DSGD is a member of both BSME and AOBSO.

Your role will as Arabic department and helping to raise standards and learning opportunities for the girls in our care.

We are a non selective school and have set high standards for our girls with both academic and pastoral expectations.

With in your department, you will be expected to be an active leader, supporting and developing the team with innovative planning and accurate assessment.

Experience in KS 3,4 and 5 is optional. In the school. We want to develop this and create a school with a great reputation for science.


All Staff will be ready for the challenge of a new school and will be part of the school family and community.

Like Durham UK, the staff will help to create and warm and secure learning environment where dedicated staff support and develop the girls in our school.

Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis with set interview weeks at the beginning of March
