What You'll Be Doing:


  • To take the lead for the design, coding, implementation and support of ESRI geospatial software
  • Establishes, implements and reviews policies, procedures and plans based on the standards and guidelines/ requirements of the client
  • Design and develop GIS Data models based on the client's requirements
  • Responsible for GIS Data, collection, updating in order to maintain all GIS Databases are up to date

  • Publish GIS Data in ArcGIS Online/Enterprise based on the timely requirements
  • Design and develop the process for real time data collection from project site with use of ArcGIS Collector, Survey123 etc
  • Develop & Implement GIS/BIM integration standards and procedures
  • Publish GIS Data in ArcGIS Online/Enterprise based on the timely requirements

What Required Skills You'll Bring:


  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS or Spatial Science, or similar from an accredited University
  • Minimum of 15 years' work experience in the utility sector including minimum 10 years' experience in GIS
  • Working and recent knowledge in ESRI GIS Software Suite including web mapping, Autodesk AutoCAD
  • Proven knowledge of roads/highways and drainage asset base with a good understanding of the endtoend process
  • Review and resolve day to day questions and issues that may arise from RO&MD using Maximo EAMS integrated with Ashghal GIS
  • Interpret asbuilt drawings, maps, graphs, aerial images, recognize and resolve discrepancies in data and take necessary action to ensure quality of information is accurate and acceptable
  • Fully conversant with the Procedures and the Standards used in the Public Works Authority
  • Coordinating with the Engineer, consultants, contractors, and relevant department to finalize relevant projects' close out documents to obtain the necessary clearances
  • Ability to lead, cooperate and motivate a projects GIS team
  • Demonstrate Cartographic skills
  • Manages, plans, assigns, and reviews analysts and developers work on GIS projects
  • Responsible for a wide variety of duties that utilize GIS, spatial systems, and survey, in the collection, control, integrate and dissemination of spatial data
  • Advisor for Spatial Systems and Survey for engineering, construction, and project management as required
  • Ensures proper maintenance, documentation, and cleaning of GIS data
  • Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes
  • Expert in developing and implementation of data capture and analysis procedures from vector and/or raster sources
  • Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working in the Gulf region is required
