The Role- Position Title: Senior Product Specialist
- Department: CSSD Key Responsibilities
- Customer/Supplier: Internal
- First level customer/ supplier interface
- Solves Tier 1 escalated problems within prescribed guidelines ensuring complete customer/ supplier satisfaction and contributing towards developing customer loyalty and principal retention.
- Interface with Finance & logistics team to ensure ontime deliveries of products and collections of payments from customers and goods ordering and payments to suppliers
- Monitors internal stock level to maintain proper supply chain.
- Prepare yearly forecasts & budgets and draw up weekly/monthly action plans to achieve the same.
- Work closely with all departments, especially the project team to ensure timely execution of projects Customer/Supplier: External
- Prepares technical & commercial proposals & offers
- Promotes companies' products to customers on daily basis and attends to their concerns & issues.
- Ensures proper transfer of information from clients to suppliers and vice versa.
- Informs Suppliers of any adverse product performances to take suitable action on time.
- Updates clients of latest product releases and other developments.
- Develops good relationships with Logistics team & management of suppliers People Management
- This position does not have a management role.
- However if & when required, mentoring/ coaching a new product specialist is needed. Analysis
- Gathers and derives knowledge from moderately complex and difficult to source data, which are from multiple sources.
- Analyses market trend, new productworthiness, doctor's skills and demand to provide specific product support to customers and also to devise procurement & stock strategy
- Timely analysis of issues and product concerns to provide onthespot troubleshooting wherever possible.
- Analyses accounts receivable ageing reports and provides reports to DM & FM.
- Conducts competitive quality analysis on products being promoted.
- Analyses brand performances for negotiations with suppliers for price, credit & other commercial terms. Innovation
- Identifies needs and improvement opportunity and provides information to Managers or Suppliers in order to facilitate change or improvement.
- Provides recommendations for product promotions, special offers & projects. Operations
- Responsible for planning and maintaining inventory of the department.
- Responsible for proper expiry management of products.
- Ensure timely invoicing, deliveries and installation of related products at Customer site.
- Follow up tough collection accounts.
- Negotiate better pricing & offers with suppliers.
- Monitors work of Subcontractors/ consultants, whenever they're employed for projects.
- Assists Project Team in executing related projects.
- Provides Finance Team with all assistance to ensure proper collection of receivables and transfer of payables.
- Assist Engineering Team with installations & maintenance of equipment's.
- Ensure complete customer satisfaction with regards to products and support.
- Follow up with the payment.
- Watch up the deadline of each order and make sure to strict this deadline. Strategy
- Prepares and executes yearly forecast & strategy to increase revenue for the company and suppliers.
- Provide inputs into long term plans of the company by understanding changes in the industry dynamics both local & worldwide.
- University Degree with a medical background Biomedical Engineer, Doctor of Medicine,
- Bachelor of Pharmacy, Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years' experience handling Sales of CSSD lines.
- Should have strong communication & negotiation skills.
- Should be able to work under pressure and be able to meet deadlines.
- Should have advance computer skills.
- Well versed in English language, knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage.
Requirements:
Education, Qualifications, and Specific Experience:
- University Degree with a medical background Biomedical Engineer, Doctor of Medicine, Bachelor of Pharmacy, Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years' experience handling Sales of CSSD lines.
- Should have strong communication & negotiation skills.
- Should be able to work under pressure and be able to meet deadlines.
- Should have advance computer skills.
- Well versed in English language, knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage.
