INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY


Primary purpose of job
Full supervision of all QatarEnergy rigger works executed by rigging contractors engaged in construction, support or

maintenance of Telecoms towers and telecom related infrastructure on towers and similar structures at all QatarEnergy

locations including Mesaieed, Dukhan, Ras Laffan and all Offshore locations.


Experience & Skills

  • Supervise installation, servicing and maintenance of a variety of permanent and temporary telecom related infrastructure
as aerials, various antenna, fixed dish, Satellite dish, overhead cables, and radio equipment as directed.


  • Supervise assembly, erection and/or repairs of masts, aerials and ancillary fittings on all corporation facilities related
telecom structures for communications and domestic equipment.


  • Responsible for supervising QatarEnergy's rigging contractors at all locations and coordination of related requirements
as security permits.


  • Responsible for annual survey and inspection & reporting of Tower's maintenance works as per QatarEnergy standards.
  • Ensures that all types of aerials / antennas are located, installed and positioned safely on supporting structures according
to engineering guidelines and recommendations.


  • Receives written & verbal instructions from section supervisor to plan for implementation requirements to erect, assemble
new or repair existing aerials / antennas, tower Safety/warning lights, lightening arrestors, and other telecom related

equipment and accessories on towers and similar structures.


  • Provide direct support in planning and procurement of adequate rigger related materials as antennas, feeders, dishes
and connectors are purchased and stocked.


  • Coordinates with Safety and Quality Departments to ensure that all rigging equipment are certified and safety measures
are taken when executing any rigger related works.


  • Act on stand-by duty to attend to relevant communications breakdown.

Education

  • Completion of Elementary education or relevant Technical diploma
  • Ability to communicate in spoken and written English language to interpret instructions.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience of similar work.
