OverviewUnder thesupervision of the Plumber Supervisor, the Plumber Lead overseesconstruction, maintenance involving plumbing equipment and relateddevices on construction projects for the PWD Projects Team.

Conducts Field Surveys (FS) and Initial Assessments(IA's) for potential construction projects.

This taskincludes but is not limited to the calculation of Bill of Materials(BOM), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Labor Hours, ProjectTechnical Approaches, Field /Technical Drawings, ProjectAssumptions and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).

Ensures personnelexhibit superior workmanship and focus on delivering a qualityproduct.

Follows UFC's and Department'sStandard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all tasks areaccomplished safely, with a focus upon quality and plumbing codecompliance.

Will have direct oversight of Plumbers. Verifies actualhours worked by personnel to reduce manpower expenditure. ProvidesLeadership and mentors junior personnel to develop appropriateskillsets. Addresses Customer concerns in a prompt, professionaland courteous manner. Must have a home-country Driver'sLicense and be able to acquire a U.S. Government Driver'sLicense.
Responsibilities Provides leadership, guidance, andtechnical assistance to Plumbers in the performance of day-to-dayactivities. Prioritize, assign and schedule work for the ProjectsPlumbing team. Passes instructions received from ProjectsSupervisor and starts work by assigning immediate tasks. Checkswork in-progress to verify work sequence, procedures, methods, anddeadlines have been met. Trains workers in construction methods,operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies.
Monitors information to detect or assess problems. Records andreports all faults, deficiencies, as well as the time and materialsexpended. Provides guidance and direction to subordinates asrequired.

Qualifications MinimumQualifications:

Education/Certifications:
One-year relatedexperience may be substituted for one year of education, if degreeis required.

Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a CommonAccess Card (CAC) A valid driver's license and theability to obtain a U.

S. Government Motor VehicleOperator's License and host nation Driver'sLicense, is required.


Experience:
Approximately five (5) yearscombined experience in plumbing trade. Must have an excellentunderstanding of all safety directives and polices regarding theoperation of equipment.


OCN Qualifications/Experience Requirements:
Trade school degree or equivalent Must be able to read/write andspeak English.

Plumbing license 5 years of plumbing experience and3 years of leadership experience Skills:
Analytical skills to beable to solve work-related problems. Manual dexterity forinstalling equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meetspecifications. Proficient English oral communications skills.
Collaborative work style, fostering cooperation, and teamwork.
Exercise discretion and good sound judgment. Basic computer skills.


Supervisory Responsibilities:
Will have direct oversight ofPlumbers


Working Conditions:
Must be capable of working in anextreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degreesFahrenheit.

Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse andharsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment withaverage temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees inthe summer months).

Includes some industrial production environmentconditions as well.


Physical Requirements:
Light work.

Exerting upto 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of forcefrequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to moveobjects.

Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing,prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areaswhere a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical,or biological agents.

Employee use of personal protective equipment(PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is notlimited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearingprotective devices.
