• Examines, diagnoses, and treatsdiseases and injuries to the musculoskeletalsystem.
• Prescribes course of treatment forpatients with injuries, disorders, or malformations and performsrequired surgery.
• Conducts and supervisesdirect patient care, including some non-surgical treatmentoptions.
• Plans and executes disease preventionand health promotion programs.
• Exercisescommand of medical units as provided by law andregulations.
• Conduct medical research on newinjuries or diseases, and conducts, supervises, and participates inmedical education and training of other medicalpersonnel.
• Participates in on-call schedule ina responsive and timely manner.
• Providesoutpatient consultation and hospital consultationservices.
• Maintains CME units based on therequirements of the specifying Board.
• Maintainshistorical records by documenting symptoms, medications, andtreatment events and writingsummaries.
• Enhances department and organizationreputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new anddifferent requests and exploring opportunities to add value to jobaccomplishments.
