    Your CommitmentThe College of Health Sciences invites applications for Midwiferyfaculty at Assistant Professor, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer andClinical Instructor ranks.

    Reporting to the Department Head, thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for the development,delivery and evaluation of a broad range of courses within themidwifery domain.

    S/he will evaluate student progress and managethe resources of the learning environment.

    The successful candidatewill liaise with industry and other educational institutions;participate in industry advisory committees and coordinate, manageand control projects within the specified program area.

    Facultymembers will keep course portfolio documents required foraccreditation processes and engage in instructionaldevelopment/improvement plans. All employees are expected tocontribute to professional and community life within the Universityand beyond. Skills Required for Role

    • Commitment toapplied and experiential learning as a pedagogy and a key featureof UDST's mandate.
    • Ability to design, develop,deliver, and evaluate authentic learning experiences andassessments incorporating contemporary tools and resources tomaximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge,skills, and attitudes identified in program outcomes.
    • Digital literacy and demonstrated fluency in technology systems,and an ability to model and facilitate use of current and emergingdigital tools to support research and learning.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop technology-enriched learningenvironments that enable students to be active participants intheir own learning.
    • Commitment to the effectiveness,vitality, and self-renewal of the teaching profession throughself-driven continuous professional development and life-longlearning.
    • Effective oral and written communicationskills.
    • Collaborative and collegial spirit and ademonstrated ability to establish rapport with learners,colleagues, sponsor-employers, and members of the community.
    • Experience in leadership and innovation intechnology-based projects.
