    Service Engineer – PCS 7 & Industrial Cybersecurity

    You'll make an impact by:

    Providing high-quality technical service delivery, commissioning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support for Siemens Process Control System 7 (PCS 7 Distributed Control Systems) in the Oil & Gas and Industrial sectors.

    PCS 7 / Automation Responsibilities
    • Performing installation, commissioning, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) / Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and maintenance for PCS 7 systems.
    • Troubleshooting PCS 7 engineering station, operator station (OS) server/client, Windows Control Center (WinCC), Sequential Function Chart (SFC), Structured Control Language (SCL), Continuous Function Chart (CFC), and Batch components.
    • Conducting system upgrades, migration projects, patching, and backup/restore procedures.
    • Integrating field instrumentation, Process Field Bus (PROFIBUS) / Process Field Net (PROFINET) networks, and SCALANCE components.
    • Generating service reports, changing logs, and technical documentation for each activity.
    • Providing remote and on-site diagnostic support for critical customer issues.
    • Ensuring compliance with Siemens global standards and best practices.
    Industrial Cybersecurity Responsibilities
    • Support customers with network segmentation, firewall rules, and secure remote access setup.
    • Assist in system hardening (Windows patching, antivirus, user management).
    • Participate in cyber-risk assessments and implementation of recommended controls.
    • Follow IEC 62443 concepts (awareness level) regarding industrial automation security.
    • Work with Siemens security tools (SINEC Security, SCALANCE S firewall).
    Your success is grounded in:
    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Automation, or Computer Engineering.
    • 5+ years' experience in PCS 7 commissioning, operation, or maintenance.
    • Strong understanding of:
      • PCS 7 architecture (Automation System, Operator Station, Engineering Station)
      • CFC / SFC programming
      • WinCC
      • Industrial networking (PROFIBUS / PROFINET / Ethernet)
    • Basic knowledge of industrial cybersecurity (IEC 62443, network security, VLANs, firewall basics).
    • Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, or Utilities is preferred.
    • Hands‑on experience with S7-400/410, SCALANCE switches, Advanced Process Library (APL), and redundant systems is an advantage.
    • Good communication skills and customer-facing experience.
    Soft Skills
    • Strong troubleshooting capability.
    • Ability to work independently in critical environments.
    • Good reporting and documentation skills.
    • High safety awareness (Permit To Work (PTW), Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), site safety rules).
    • Willingness to work on emergency callouts.
