Recommenddiagnostic tests based on patients' histories and physicalexamination findings.Use appropriate techniques to diagnose andtreat skin ailments Monitor the effectiveness of skin treatmentsand make necessary improvements or changes Communicate withassistants and other team members to ensure therapies are beingadministered properly Educate patients on the right ways to achievehealthy, attractive skin Attend conferences to network withDermatology professionals and learn about new treatments andresearch Treat every patient with respect and compassion and ensurecompliance with current medical laws and ethics Maintain medical orprofessional knowledge.
Provide dermatologic consultation to otherhealth professionals. Evaluate patients to determine eligibilityfor cosmetic procedures such as laser resurfacing, andmicrodermabrasion. Provide dermabrasion or laser abrasion to treatatrophic scars, elevated scars, or other skin conditions. Conductresearch to increase knowledge about medicalissues.
