OverviewResponsible fordelivering direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, toinclude assessment, implementation and evaluation of care requiredof the assigned patients.

Promotes and restores patients'health by establishment of a plan of care and educating patientsand their families about their conditions.
Collaborates withphysicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physicaland psychological support to patients and families.

Responsible inthe provision of quality nursing care by maintaining accuraterecords in the EMR and in the maintenance of professional standardsas per DoH Scope of Practice, through continuing education anddevelopment.

Responsible for the orientation and induction trainingof new, junior Registered Nurses, Practical Nurses and HealthcareAssistants.

Accountable for ensuring all services rendered areconsistent with their education and assessed competence, meetlegislative requirements and are supported by appropriatestandards.

Understands, supports and promotes the mission, vision,and values of organization.
EducationBachelor's Degree inMidwifery from an Accredited School ofNursing/UniversityORBachelor's Degree in Nursing withadditional Midwifery qualificationProfessional Experience Required(Relevant to the Job)Minimum 2 years post Midwifery qualificationexperience
