Job Title:
Lifting Engineer

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in planning Heavy and Critical Lifting activities in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Knowledge of all lifting equipment and various crane types.
  • Working experience in Offshore jacket/topside/Riser tower fabrication/installation projects preferred.
  • Expertise in developing AutoCAD Lifting plans for Critical and Non-Routine Lifts.
  • Strong understanding of rigging principles.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Membership in LEEA or similar/equivalent.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Prepare Lifting plans using AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with Company Lifting Procedure.
  • Promote Safe Handling and Lifting Operations per Company HSE policy and international standards.
  • Assess, analyze, plan, and execute lifting operations in line with Company standards.
  • Supervise critical and heavy lifts, verifying lifting equipment requirements.
  • Lead internal audits of lifting operations and participate in incident investigation and analyses.
  • Mentor and train Rigging Supervisor, Rigging Foreman, and Riggers.
  • Lead lifting teams at the site, ensuring safe work practices and hazard control.
  • Ensure all lifting equipment has valid thirdparty certificates and follows colorcoding systems.
  • Oversee the safe and competent execution of lifting plans.
