The Director of Sales and Marketing under the business supervision of the General manager and within the limits of established Corporate/Sales policies and procedures oversees and directs all aspects of the Sales and Marketing activities His/her responsibilities include overseeing the planning and development of promotional strategies marketing plans management of sales team reporting on effectiveness. Produces Annual Sales plan marketing budgets forecasts Works closing with head Revenue to produce action plan related to revenue plan ensures revenue objectives are achieved Provides professional advisor support service to General Manager Coordinates maintaining increasing business volume This includes advertising sales promotion publicity community relations special projects etc Creates implements special programs achieve greater profitability through Increasing average rate Overall occupancy Increasing business during off-peak periods Increasing local food beverage banquet sales Enhances image hotel local community Participates active member community associations memberships trade organizations Reviews regularly activities reports personnel ensure targets met Reviews internal promotion pieces visual effect ensures conform brand standards Organizes promotes cooperation Food Beverage Department special projects stimulate Food Beverage sales community including tournaments balls parties gastronomic festivities Interacts individuals outside hotel including clients convention bureaus hotel associations Government Tourist offices Airlines Travel Agents Operators Competitors members local community Investigates potential markets Reviewing correspondence files Analyzing guest history registration card files Studying questionnaires Reviewing government statistics visitors city Analyzing competition efforts Studying reference publications leads Recommends Advertising Agency most productive for analyzing market effectiveness past campaigns consulting heads Agency
