Job Specification

Job Purpose- Responsible for implementing the Inspection and Test Plan requirements of Critical Equipment Supplier facilities principally in Northern Italy.

Surveillance Program, and for ensuring the effective implementation of Contractor's Vendor Inspection Program.

  • Providing continual communication, coordination and advice to the Quality Division Manager and Procurement team on procurement quality issues and the quality performance of the Contractor procurement quality team, Company inspection agencies and vendors.
Reporting and Relationships- Reports to Quality Division Manager.

  • Supervises the daytoday activities of assigned third party inspectors at multiple manufacturing locations

Internal:

  • Continuous contacts with PMT Procurement team
  • Frequent contacts with Supply Department

External:

  • Continuous contact with Contractor Procurement team
  • Frequent contacts with inspection agencies and vendors.

Key Job Accountabilities & Responsibilities:


  • Implement the Procurement Surveillance Program to confirm that all purchased materials and equipment are compliant with project specifications, including:
  • Implementation of Vendor Inspection and Test plans for assigned critical items.
  • Attending supplier's facilities at regular intervals with Contractor to monitor PO progress and review and resolve quality issues arising.
  • Participating in major inspection and test activities, preinspection meetings and other meetings as required.
  • Supervising the daytoday activities of inspection resources assigned through approved Third-Party Inspection Service (TPIS) agencies conducting surveillance inspections at vendor premises.
  • Reviewing inspection reports to confirm that all inspection activities have been properly conducted and any issues identified and communicated.
  • Implement Deficiency Management Program to ensure that deficiencies and nonconformances relating to procurement are identified, recorded, investigated, and resolved to maintain compliance with project requirements.
  • Actively participate in:
  • Quality Audit Program to confirm that procurement activities are conducted in accordance with agreed plans and implement:
  • Lessons Learned Program to capture learnings actively and continuously from procurement activities and to use them to develop and optimise process or specification improvements.
  • Issues and Risks Program relating to procurement quality and ensure that issues and risks are captured and treated promptly and effectively.
  • Implement Quality Reporting Program to monitor procurement quality performance; and to communicate and report on procurement quality performance, issues, and risks, and developing trends to Quality Division Manager
  • Maintain interfaces, including with:
  • Engineering team to ensure timely review of vendor documentation; resolution of nonconformances; coordination of engineering attendance at Kickoff meetings, preinspection meetings and FATs.
  • Supply department to provide feedback on TPIS inspection agency performance and vendor performance.
  • Contract
or Quality resources to provide feed back on ITP implementation and issues arising from surveillance activities.

  • To conduct other quality related tasks as directed by Quality Division Manager

Part B:
Person Specification - Minimum Requirements


  • Qualifications_
  • Specific experience in the manufacture and testing of Inconel clad components.
  • Additional qualifications relating to inspection or testing preferred.
  • Knowledge and/or Experience_
  • Minimum of 15 years broad experience in manufacturing of critical pressure retaining components for major oil & gas projects
  • Specific experience in supervision of performance of Manufacturing Procedure Specification (MPS) qualifications, qualification and routine testing of Inconel clad components, corrosion testing, mechanical testing, nondestructive testing, and evaluation of visual and NDT indications in Inconel clad components
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a supervisory capacity relating to inspection and testing of Inconel clad pressure retaining components.
  • Detailed knowledge of industry standardises and company specification for manufacturing and testing
