- Performs all routine andcomplicated laboratory procedures in the primary section to whichassigned about or specific values.
- Operates,maintains, and troubleshoots laboratory instrumentation andequipment and makes minor repairs as necessary or notifies Bio-medas needed.
- Must cross-train to other laboratorysections as needed.
- Assures that thelaboratory's quality control program is properlyfollowed.
- Calculates, enters, and/or verifiesresults of laboratory procedures.
- Utilizes theLaboratory Information System.
- Providesnotification and documentation of critical laboratory valuesobtained.
- Processes patient specimens,including collection, handling, and distribution always cognizantof minimal pediatric specimen volumes (whenrequired).
