Bid Specialists


Bid Specialist - responsible for compiling and submitting a complete technical and commercial bid to an existing or prospective project in line with FM hard & soft services requirement, on time and within budget.

The incumbent needs to be purely autonomous while able to work as a team with other departments of the company.


In that process, the Bid Specialist needs to ensure that all the client questions have been answered as fully as possible and all the received clarifications, findings and other information gained by sites visit and/or network have been taken into consideration.

Thus, to ensure that the organisation has given itself the best possible chance of success.

The Bid Specialist works under the direction of the Business Development Manager.


Operational:

  • Follow the established Bid process with the possibility to propose constant improvement/adjustment.
  • Analyse the requirements of an RFI, RFP, or RFQ and decide what information needs to be included in the proposal.
  • Write / compile proposals using the input obtained from all sources in a concise, logical and responsive fashion while ensuring that the information provided complies with the specifications.
  • Conduct any additional research that is required to develop the responses (E.g. Site Visit, subcontractors support etc )
  • Disseminate proposals to clients by required deadlines; provide necessary copies to Field Offices or Business Development.
  • Coordinate and submit follow up responses throughout the bid process.
  • Develop and publish various bidding documents such as reports, graphs, business case and presentations.
  • Update the CRM database for managing interactions with customers, clients and sales prospects
  • Documentation management of the bids.
  • For the purpose of its duty the Bid Specialist must possess a vehicle to travel throughout Qatar for any bid requirement

Qualification:

  • Minimum of Bachelors' Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Experience:


  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an operational role related to Facility Management
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in bidding and tendering hard services FM project
  • Experience in development of presentations, corporate communication and marketing

Job Specific Skills:

  • Proficient in English language, Arabic is definitely a plus
  • Proficient in computer skills including MS-Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, Visio), Autocad, Ganttchart
  • Proficient in the use of a CRM database (MS Dynamics CRM, Salesforce etc.)
  • Effective oral and written communication & active listening skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to identify critical issues and evaluate situation quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work long hours when finalizing an offer.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
