    • Advising and supporting otherteachers/members of staff in theschool/setting
    • Overseeing/managing teachingassistants
    • Liaising with parents and otherprofessionals (Local Authority, Health etc) regarding children withSpecial Educational Needs
    • Carrying outassessments of children's particular strengths andweaknesses
    • Co-ordinating provision for childrenwith Special Educational Needs including the planning of futuresupport and ensuring statutory duties are carried out –for example the carrying out of Statement AnnualReviews
    • overseeing the records of all childrenwith special educational needs ensuring that relevant informationis collected, recorded andupdated.
