We are looking for an IT SUPPORT, have minimum 5 to 7-years' experience as IT Support in Trading, Furniture and FMCG companies, holding Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/ Information Technology or any related field, have Qatar ID and able to provide NOC to join our company located at Doha, Qatar.


Summary:


The IT Support is responsible for successful delivery of IT projects based on timely delivery and quality of assigned deliverables (technical specifications, Proof of Concept/ POC, software testing, build and deployment) and within defined variance thresholds for schedule and budget, as well as adherence to established global IT project, business process and requirements management.

He will also be the point of contact for all IT related support activities to maintain upgrade and manage the company software, hardware and networks.


The IT Support should also possess proficiency in English verbal and written communication and should have knowledge of LAN, WAN, wireless, and a good understanding of network routing and Network Storage System.

The IT Support should also have experience with retail systems on a global scale including but not limited to POS, Store Operations, wireless technologies, CRM, multi-channel retail integration.


Functions:

Your duties will consist of but not limited to:

  • Enforces standards for all IT related infrastructure support activities such as corrective and preventative maintenance through incident problem and change management processes.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve network issues quickly.
  • Provide technical systems support to operations and install POS equipment for the showrooms.
  • Ensure that the company technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Oversee the activities of IT Department team Provide individual training and support on request
  • Maintains the backup plan and maintains the storage and server cluster environments.
  • Recommends software and hardware upgrades patches and or replacement.
  • Performs root-cause analysis and fault isolation related to infrastructure issues and outages.
  • Provides technical support and investigations of IT related problems and coordinate the implementation of the appropriate solution with the Department Head.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development.
  • Meet with Department Manager to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines.
  • Drive continuous improvements in process and operational efficiency by reducing operational burden.
  • Recommends Contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems, as required.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems per the schedule.
  • Install or input and maintain IP addresses, network accounts and Foolproof passwords.
  • Identify and prepare hardware for disposal and ensure hardware is stripped and secured before disposal.

Skills:


  • Understanding of technology directions, trends and strategic business impacts.
  • Proficiency in process management, technology evaluation, and project management.
  • Well adept with all hardware and software and network operating system.
  • Familiarity with the balanced scorecard concept, IT standards such as ITIL or COBIT.
  • Ability to install and administer computer hardware, software and networks.
  • Ability to develop technical documentation for the non-technical user.
  • Ability to coach and mentor IT support team to develop operational capability.
  • Manages and agrees operational priorities with the Department Manager and creates a roadmap of activity.
  • Microsoft Windows maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Strong expertise and experience with tiered storage and storage networks.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft server troubleshooting and daily activities associated with the management and administration of all network servers.
  • Strong grasp of network and OS troubleshooting including Microsoft Windows and Mac OS.
  • Experience with Windows 2012R2 Active Directory Domain environment required.
  • Experience in Microsoft Hyper-V Virtualization required.
  • Experience in Disaster Recovery procedures and enterprise storage.
  • Experience in Managing and Support SAP B1 ERP system.
  • Results driven with a strong attention to detail.
