- Write clean, testable, efficient, and reusable code using software development best practices
- Develop website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
- Integrate data from multiple back end services and databases
- Collect, analyze and finalize design specifications and requirements based on technical needs
- Create and maintain software documentation for future reference
- Participate in maintaining, expanding, and scaling in house and client websites
- Keep abreast with emerging technologies and industry trends and share new findings with development team
- Coordinate with web designers to match visual design intent Job requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of experience in website development (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Hands on experience in planning and developing websites across multiple products and organizations
- Knowledge of web development languages like Javascript, .
- Full understanding of content management systems, including WordPress and Drupal
- Hands on expertise in relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development
- Proficient working with databases including MySQL, SQL, NoSQL, etc.
