- Contribute in preparingspecific procedures for Shipping, Customs and packing of goods
- Contribute in preparing technical enquiry package forShipping and Customs services
- Assist the Shipping andCustoms Manager in planning the Shipping and Customs activities ofboth Project and Assets Material
- Once the SF generatedfrom either PO/DO, TR, TO is assigned, review scope anddocumentation, prepare the Transport Plan and define the best meansof transport according to goods weights and dims, best transitroute/time, required schedule and actualcosts.
- Where the scope of the transport isfully covered by existing Transport Agreements and related pricelists, assign the shipment to the freight forwarder who canguarantee the required services in the most efficient manner at thecheapest rate
- Where no TA could cover the scope of thetransport or in specific circumstances (i.e. oversize/overweightmaterials, peculiar collection/destination locations, urgencyetc.), with the authorization of the Shipping & CustomsManager, prepare through the transport instruction a dedicated PRto issue dedicated transport contract.
- Preparethe documents required to the execution of the Shipping and Customsactivities, and required to fulfil import, export and transitformalities in accordance with applicable Customs rules andregulations
- Monitor the status of each shipment fromgoods collection up to actual completion, gather and check allshipping document duly signed and stamped to attest final receipt.
- Promptly notify SaipemInsurance department when the value of a shipment exceed theCorporate Insurance deductibles and when a damage occurs duringtransportation;
- Use SAP for the management of Shippingand Customs activities and ensure timely updating
- Archive and maintain traceability of Shipping and Customs documents
- Support the material purchasing department to definebudgets for transports and the best contractual delivery ter
- Provide feedback using Saipem available software onOwners, Freight Forwarders, Customs Agentsperformances
