• Ensure and promote the applicationof COMPANY HSE and Safety Engineering rules and standards withinE&C;
• Ensure that contractors comply atall times with safety rules, taking actions as required in case ofdisregards;
• Ensure the implementation ofapplicable laws, codes and standards, in particular theCompany's technical reference system in the design ofinstallations on top of which safetyengineering;
• Implement the Company HSE risksmanagement process in Brownfield activities: Identify Hazards,perform adequate risk assessment studies and subsequently defineadequate conceptual barriers (as per Company reference systemprescriptions and/or as per detailed risk studies outcomes whererequired;
• Lead/participate or supervise safetystudies such as HAZID, HAZOP, analysis and consequence modelingHAZAN, Dropped Object studies, Fire and Explosion studies, SILassessment, adapted to E&Cactivities;
• Be responsible for the developmentof required deliverables of the facilities' safetydossier (Safety Concept, ESD and Fire and Gas detection, Active andPassive Fire Fighting, Fire and Gas detection, Evacuation andEscape Route, Hazardous area classification, Safety CriticalElements and performance standards of safetysystems);
• Ensure the appropriate support andfollow-up of all E&C activities, and approve of safetyengineering design studies;
• Participate toProject Reviews as per COMPANY project management system for hisfield of expertise;
• Participate to safetyaudits, and contribute to near miss investigations by providing thetechnical expertise in SafetyEngineering;
• Propose design corrective measuresas learned from incident and operation feed backs, proposeinnovative design solutions and improvements of Companyprocesses;
• Report to Safety Engineering Leadregularly with weekly report and when decisions impactingE&C activities must betaken.
