- Consistently observes and enforces all USAF and host nationexplosives safety, AFOSH and security standards during allexplosives and non-explosives operations in assigned sites andtemporary duty locations.
- Up channels any issuesimpacting munitions operations to Munitions Control andSuperintendent.
- Takes necessary control and ensurestimely response actions during emergencies.
- Conducts allmunitions work according to established quality processes,identifying potential problems and recommending solutions.
- May supervise Asian/Local National Munitions Workforcewhile providing clear instructions about the work.
- Inspects munitions and containers in accordance with 11A-1-10,applicable technical directives.
- Accurately documentsall serviceability and accountability actions in a timely manner.
- Works closely with operations personnel to resolve anyserviceability and accountability issues noted during theinspection processes.
- Conducts warehouse inventories andcorrects any discrepancies.
- Provides support to theassigned custody accounts of the deployed forces.
- Inspects and certifies munitions brass, residue and containers inaccordance with 11A-1-60.
- Operates assigned CombatAmmunition System as is applicable to Site's processes.
- Reconditions, repairs and replaces defective or missingparts of munitions and containers.
- Performs munitionsstorage actions according to the stringent explosives standards.
- Inspects, operates and performs operator maintenance onlight vehicles and handling equipment such as forklifts, palletjacks and manual hoists.
- Inspects and operateselectronic test equipment, metal strapping equipment, stencilmachines, heat sealers, pneumatic paint guns, air compressors andpower tools.
- Inspects and performs minor maintenance onfacilities and installed equipment. Cleans vehicles, equipment andfacilities.
- Prepares and delivers general and explosivessafety briefings for all explosives operations.
- Worksnecessary hours, to include stand-by duties, to support missionrequirements during peacetime and combat contingencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Works in normal officeand maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be requiredto work outdoors for extended periods. Minimum Requirements
- Must have intermediate knowledge of the USAF Supply,TMO, Munitions and Tech Order systems or US service equivalent.
- Must be proficient in the use of personal computers andWindows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as aminimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs.
- May berequired to operate material handling equipment.
- Mustpossess a valid home country driver's license and abilityto obtain host nation driver's license.
- HighSchool diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have aminimum four years of experience with Military Munitions.
- Must have completed formal USAF Munitions Systemstraining or US Service equivalent.
- Must be CertifiedMunitions Inspector and/or award of SEI 836.
- Must nothave been convicted of a Domestic Violence charge (LautenbergAmendment compliance).
- Must be eligible to obtain andmaintain a US Secret Security Clearance.
- Will berequired to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)according to prescribed procedures and as required for task beingperformed.
- Physically capable of performing all requiredduties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Must have normal color perception and depth ofvision.
