We are looking for
Batch 3 CPP Commissioning Mechanical / Rotating Equipment Lead for one of our clients with the following details:

Resignation: 2 months' notice period

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Qualification: Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree or equivalent in engineering
  • Experience: At least 15 years' experience in the offshore oil & gas industry with minimum 7 years' experience in a lead Commissioning role,
  • Proven track record of leadership and problem resolution.
  • Strong interpersonal and good communication skills
  • Available for technical missions worldwide
  • Experienced with NOC Standards (Total General Specifications), OPERCOM and ICAPS, PRODOM/MANASA DCC Database and relevant codes and standards
  • Language: Fluent English
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment,
  • H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings.
Job Dimensions

  • Assist and support the Commissioning Site Leader in Leading Mechanical Rotating Equipment activities of the CPP (batch#3) EPCIC Contractors activities linked to the Commissioning of the 2 well head platforms / CPP and associated Brownfield additional equipment, in both preparation and execution phases.
  • The Commissioning Mechanical Rotating Equipment Leader will report directly to the Commissioning Site Leader

Responsibilities:


  • To witness and/or verify all Mechanical Rotating Equipment and Package completion activities performed by the Construction Contractor including approval of punch lists.
  • To Lead all Mechanical Rotating Equipment during Precommissioning, commissioning, and startup activities for assigned subsystems. This includes preparatory activities, coordinating resources (technicians, equipment, other departments), expediting documentation (Handover dossiers), attending walkdowns from construction to commissioning and from commissioning to operations and formally agreeing and categorizing punchlist items.
  • To assist and control the vendor support required for the assigned systems.
  • To assist and support Company Engineering team to review documents and provide feedback.
  • To Lead discipline supervisor(s) and to follow closely the commissioning of systems/subsystems assigned in accordance with the commissioning procedures and commissioning and startup schedule, coordinating the various disciplines, and ensuring all disciplines reach assigned targets as per system completion schedule.
  • To compile relevant documentation to support handover and acceptance of systems to Operations.
  • To ensure that the Mechanical content of the dossiers is accurate and complete before they are accepted from construction, commissioning and before approval by operations department.
  • To assess satisfactory works responsibilities and job function in a safe and timely manner.
  • To comply with NOC standards, rules, and regulations
  • Adhere to and effectively communicate Project HSE WORKSITE(S) instructions and policies.
  • Proactively intervene where HSE deficiencies are identified and report them to HSE department.
Activities - Preparation Phase

  • Ensure proper implementation of all precommissioning / commissioning disciplines requirement according to the CONTRACT.
  • Review the preparation of precommissioning/commissioning procedures (write the procedure, if necessary, in order to respect the planning and achieve the milestones in due time) and reporting tools prepared by contractors (such as but not limited to: including technical database, planning, punch lists control and followup of the disciplines concerned). Items as Gas Turbine Generator (GTG), Gas Turbine Compressor (GTC), Water Injection Pump (WIP), Water Alterative Gas Compressor (WAG), Stock Tank Gas Compressor (STC), HVAC, Crane or Pumps will be part of Mechanical Rotating Equipment scope.
  • Promote safety within the commissioning activities and verifies that safety procedures are implemented and follow by CONTRACTOR and COMPANY.
  • Maximize onshore commissioning and minimize lost time due to interfaces.
  • Coordinate with other project entities / disciplines /existing facilities.
  • Ensure ICAPS population.
  • Ensure that the lists of precommissioning and commissioning procedures are fully comprehensive, including operational test procedures.
  • Elaborate OTP or review OTP for mechanical part.
  • Ensure that the Mechanical precommissioning and commissioning spare parts, consumables equipment, special tools, etc are sufficient and available in time.
Activities - Execution Phase

  • Follow the contractor 's Mechanical commissioning activities using the OPERCOM Methodology and ICAPS (Integrated Commissioning And Progress System) software.
