- Sets up and operates machine to bend metal structural in desired shapes, specified by work order, drawings, templates, or layout
Knowledge & Qualification:
- Should have good knowledge of machine processes, Operates CNC Machines, maintain and trouble shoot.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Performs bending operation activities assigned
- Meets the quality requirements of the job
- Operates with complete safety measures
- Operates & maintains effectively the tools/machinery
- Reports to the supervisor/engineer for any nonconformity in job /unsafe conditions or emergency situations.
- Perform daily machine startup and shutdown procedures on CNC cutting equipment.
- Ensure production schedule follow through as allocated by the Machine shop in charge.
- Sets up and operates machine to bend metal structural shapes as per drawings, templates, or layout:
- Selects and bolts holding clamp, die block, and guide clamp to machine
- Positions and clamps end stops on machine to set specified location of bend.
- Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of cutting equipment and work area in accordance with company standards and manufactures machine recommendations.
- Inform daily parts cutting status to machine shop area in charge.
- To stop the Bending process if observed any non conformity during work and inform to line supervisor immediately
- To wear all PPEs before start the job.
- To maintain housekeeping of his assigned work place
