- Ensuring high quality planning anddesigning of Electrical Services for buildings, structures, andinfrastructure for a wide variety of project across multiplelocations to support QPMs vision of becoming a world class company.
- Work with line manager to establish high qualityelectrical services practices, methodologies, guidelines,procedures and detailing for ensuring effective design andimplementation.
- Develop working templates forestablishing client requirements, conducting site studies andprovide support for contractor/consultants and sub consultants.
- Develop guidelines for value engineering for projects tohelp onsite teams to deliver high quality Electrical solutionsensuring regulatory and HSE compliance with standards.
- Ensure appropriate usage and application of the Project ManagementSystem with respect to entry and analysis of work related data tofacilitate seamless communication of all relevant(technical/non-technical) information across the organization on areal time basis for maximum effectiveness.
- Synergizewith the project commissioning team to ensure that all projects aremeticulously commissioned to deliver world class standards ofquality to QPM clients
- Conduct design reviews forconformance with contract documents and client requirements.
- Participate in value engineering activities to ensuredelivery of maximum value of electrical engineering/services.
- Attend and participate in client and QPMmeetings/workshop for all design related activities in alignmentwith QPM electrical services agreement.
- Implementstandardized methodologies and procedures to ensure consistent andhigh quality "QPM work experience" toconsultants, contractors and clients across sites.
- Develop and maintain corporate knowledge base for all electricalengineering and provide support to projects accordingly.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of all Electrical activities andoperations.
- Advise and monitor onsite engineers forElectrical engineering as required.
- Work with the linemanager to resolve electrical escalations from project sites.
- Serve as the centralized resource for all mattersrelated to electrical services quality and provide feedback asrequired.
- Monitoring and supervise consultant activitiesfor conformance with the provisions of the Contract Documents andthe Procedures manual.
- Achieve a detailed understandingof the Contract documents (drawings and specifications), coordinatework with other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical,structural and advise design managers as necessary.
- Workwith IT team to put in place effective IT systems for carrying outvarious documentation, MIS, project monitoring and managementactivities.
- Support business development by providinginputs during design proposal preparation and client presentations
- Assist in development of RFPs/Tenders by QPM as part ofthe procurement process
- Interface with clients inrelation to QPM's Electrical engineering activities
- Coordinate with QA and HSE teams to ensure compliance ofelectrical engineering design with all Quality and HSE requirements
- Collaborate with other construction electricalengineering disciplines to enhance QPM's overallsolution.
- Establish and develop professionalrelationships with peer professionals in the industry to trackindustry practices and innovation.
- Meet clients toobtain feedback on QPM's engineering methodologies andoutcomes and use the same to make appropriate modifications.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, methodologies,tools and best practices in electrical services at corporatelevel.
