    Technical LeadQualification :
    Bachelors inscience , engineering or equivalentResponsibility :Project Planningand Setup :

    • Understand the project scope, identifyactivities/ tasks, task level estimates, schedule, dependencies,risks and provide inputs to Module Lead for review.
    • Provide inputs to testing strategy, configuration, deployment,hardware/software requirement etc.
    • Review plan andprovide feedback on gaps, timeline and execution feasibility etc asrequired in the project.
    • Participate in KT sessionsconducted by customer/ other business teams and provide feedback onrequirements

    Requirement Understanding and Analysis :

    • Analyze functional/non functional requirements and seekclarifications for better understanding of requirements.
    • Based on understanding of system upstream & downstream,provide feedback and inputs on gaps in requirements and technicalfeasibility of requirements

    Design :

    • Prepare the LLD/detailed design documents based on HLD and briefing from ModuleLead.
    • Seek inputs from the developers on specific modulesas applicable.
    • Consolidate all modules and provide toModule Lead/ Architects/ Designers for review.
    • Suggestchanges in design on technical grounds.
    • Developcomponents inventory for the code to be developed tying it to thenonfunctional requirements.
    • Perform sampling of data tounderstand the character/ quality of the data (project dependent inthe absence of data analyst or designer).
    • Identify toolsand technologies to be used in the project as well as reusableobjects that could be customized for the project

    Coding :

    • Follow coding standards and best practices to develop code andcheck code quality.
    • Share developed code with supervisorfor review.
    • Rework on the code based on inputs ifrequired.
    • Perform complex integration.
    • Guidethe developers in identifying, preparing and conducting unit testcases and fixing defects based on results.
    • Consolidatethe test results and share with supervisor.
    • Provideperiodic status update to supervisor and highlight / recommend anychanges in design based on challenges faced.
    • Anticipateunreported defects and raise the same to supervisor.
    • Conduct technical troubleshooting.
    • Conduct reviews forcodes created by team

    Testing Management :

    • Develop unittest case for each module.
    • Conduct/ guide conducting ofunit and integration testing and fix defects.
    • Review/approve code to be moved to testing environment.
    • Providesupport to the QA team and coordinate for various phases oftesting.
    • Address queries raised by QA within definedtimelines.
    • Investigate critical defects and establishneed for fixing.
    • Raise issues to leads/QA.
    • Report defect status as per project standard process within agreedtimelines.
    • Share revised code with supervisor forreview.
    • Assist team lead and project manager on estimatesaround defect fixes

    Configuration Management :

    • Maintainversions of the code or consolidate version maintained by theDevelopers.
    • Provide support as required to theAdministrators during configuration, code backups, deploymentetc

    Deployment :

    • Assess and create deployment/ roll backplan.
    • Validate if all the components have been migratedand the right version is checked in.
    • Maintain deploymenttracker.
    • Perform sanity checks post deployment to ensuresmooth production.
    • Share activity status with supervisorand highlight concerns if any.
    Project Execution Monitoring& closure (Support to Project Management activities):


    • Monitor work of the developers and share work achievedwith them.
    • Provide guidance through SDLC.
    • Provide status of progress to leads.
    • In case of changerequests, provide inputs on the plan

    Service Support andMaintenance :

    Specific to production and maintenance support:

    • Provide support for 1 week and hand over to productionteam.
    • Identify if the incoming request is a servicerequest/ defect during the warranty or an incident.
    • If itis code defect in the warranty, highlight to Lead and initiatedefect fix process.
    • Post warranty, support in transitionto maintenance team

    Knowledge Management :

    • Post releaseparticipate in project review call and discuss points on what wentwell and what didn't.
    • Create and update knowledgearticles (case studies, lessons learnt) in the knowledge managementrepository.
    • Guide developers in creating suchdocuments.
    • Publish white papers/ blogs/ articles (ifrequired)

    People Management :

    • Conduct training throughacademy or internally within the team.
    • Conduct technical,face to face interviews for internal transfer or externalhiring.
    • Provide feedback on Developers form technical/domain standpoint to the module lead.
