• Maintaining counseling records, case management, andinitial assessment.
• Providing crisis intervention, ifnecessary.
• Administering and interpreting psychologicaltests/inventories.
• Making referrals; and managingvarious organizational and administrative aspects of counselingcases.
• Consult with parents, faculty, staff members(NU-Q and Education City), academic deans, and off-campusphysicians/therapists when appropriate and with necessaryauthorizations to provide quality care to students.
• Assumes after-hour on-call responsibilities.
• Makesreferrals to off-campus clinical services when appropriate.

• Design,manage, conduct and evaluate promotion and educational programs topromote mental and physical health awareness and overall studentwell-being.
• Represent NU-Q Counseling and Wellness on-and off-campus, as necessary.
• Collaborate with EducationCity institutions on wellness-related initiatives. Accessibilityand Accommodation Services
• In collaboration withNorthwestern University AccessibleNU office, serves as a focalpoint for NUQ students applying to accommodation support andservices.
• Liaise with administration, faculty, and staffto ensure accessibility industry best practices, State of Qatar andfederal regulations are met. Other Duties
• Collect andmanage required student immunization records.
• Manage,assess, and develop Counseling and Wellness services and systems inalignment with Northwestern University- Counseling andPsychological Services (CAPS)
• Perform other duties asassigned. Minimum Qualifications and Competencies
• Master's degree in a psychology, counseling, social work,or a related field.
• Five to eight years post-mastersexperience in a university counseling center or similarenvironment.
• Licensed for independent practice inpsychology, counseling, social work or related fields in the UnitedStates, State of Qatar, and/or related licensing body.
• Demonstrated experience and ability to work as part of a highlycohesive and interdisciplinary team.
• Experience in theprovision of crisis intervention and consultation.
• Demonstrated understanding of ethical and legal issues in mentalhealth practice.
• Applied experience in the area ofhealth education, disability services and mental health counseling
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to working with and ensuring thewelfare of students from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Excellent organizational skills.
