Educational background:
Diploma in Electrical Engineering


Professional background:


3-8 years' experience as an I&C Technician in an industrial plant (Pref Water/Sewage treatment plant or Oil & Gas) + at least 2 years in a similar role in a WasteWater Treatment Plant.


Languages:
English - Fluent (Speak, Write & Read)

Technical skills (including computer skills)

Tools & Spare: MultiMeter, Clamp Meter, Megger, 4-20mA Source Meter, Output mA Checking

Activities: Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance

Knowledge of equipment: MCC, VFD, Softstrator, Pump and Motor, Breaker, UPS Light Fitting, Power and Control Drawings Study.

Troubleshooting skill: MCC, VFD, Softstrator, Star Delta, DOL connection, Pump Motor and Light Fittings

Safety culture: Electrical LOTO, Work at Height and Confined Space Training

Positive attitude, Presentation and communication, Problem solving skills, an ability to stick to strict deadlines.

  • Assures proper installation, preventive maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and electrical panels to ensure their maximum service life and efficiency as well as their optimal utilization.
  • Assists maintenance and operating supervision in troubleshooting problems with critical and less critical machinery.
  • Performs corrective maintenance work.
  • Investigates and troubleshoots to be able to correct issues, provides support in performing root cause analysis.
  • Provides alternatives when equipment failure is impeding plant operation.
  • Prepares permit to work documentation and follows the health and safety requirements such as safe isolation procedures (Lock Out/Tag Out).
  • Understands drawings, schematics, P&IDs and supplier technical documentation for equipment.
  • Report in written (English) regarding the maintenance tasks performed, describing the activity properly and giving relevant data records.
  • Supervise the work of electrical subcontractors if instructed to do so by the supervisor.
  • Reviews equipment repair to detect required design changes in cases where abnormal/customized maintenance occurs.
  • Develops maintenance repair procedures for critical machinery

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent, Contract

Contract length: 12 months


Salary:
QAR2, QAR2,500.00 per month

  • Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
